Lions Clubs are part of community life, in the cities and in the country. Clubs are easily identified by their distinctive Logo, the trademark of our International Association, and the 'We Serve'; motto.
Lions Australia is part of an international association, filled with people who are joined by the common desire to make their communities better, by using their creativity, enthusiasm and energy.
Membership is open to all people of the community in good standing.
The Lions Club of Canberra Kambah meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Canberra Southern Cross Club at Tuggeranong at 6:00 PM (in the bistro) for 7:00 PM.
The second meeting of each month generally involves a guest speaker in an area of interest for Lions.
Our business and other activities are generally dealt with during the first meeting.
First chartered on 30 April 1977, Canberra Kambah was the 1082nd Lions Club chartered in Australia. The club was sponsored by the former Lions Club of Weston Creek. Several of our members make the journey from Weston Creek to Kambah to join us for meetings and other activities.
We still have charter members who regularly attend meetings.
