Projects

Lions is a community service organisation! People join Lions because they want to user their intellect, creativity, commitment and enthusiasm to get things done.  This is where you can find out about the sorts of projects that your local Lions Club is doing.  Like what you see?  Get involved!

International Relations. Kambah Lions twinned with the Lions Club of Patong Beach, Thailand. Over recent years we have sent funds to Patong Beach for educational material for the benefit of local school students. The relationship has developed over three years and we look forward to being able to continue in this support for education for deserving young people.
An inter-club visit to Patong Beach was enjoyed by 6 Lions and partners in 24-31 August 2013.

Lions Youth Exchange. Over the recent years, our club has hosted young people through the Lions International Youth Exchange. Young people from the USA,   Malaysia and Japan have been hosted in club member's home and experienced something of life in Australia. Another way that Lions International aims to promote global understanding.

Lions Youth Haven Inc. Kambah Lions are actively involved in supporting Lions Youth Haven Project at Westwood Farm, Kambah, ACT. Several of our members give their time as members of the Board of Managment to support the valuable work of this project to support youth. Find out more about Lions Youth Haven at www.lyh.org.au

Environment. For several years our club has collected eye glasses for recycling. In addition to reducing the amount of rubbish to landfill, the glasses are sent to Brisbane, cleand and inspected then sent to places of need in developing countries.
